Cardboard Titanics, interview with filmmaker Sam Frazier Jr
Here’s what the filmmaker says about it on his website:
“You’ve never seen a documentary like this before. The event actually took place, so the movie is technically a documentary. However, I edited it celebrating the inherent humor and thus took great liberties. So it’s really a new genre. Comedic-documentary? Documedy?
Regardless, I hope you enjoy the movie and PLEASE, PLEASE WATCH WITH A GROUP! Comedy is always best appreciated with company, not alone. So, grab some friends, co-workers, family, frenemies, whomever. I guaranty you that if you put them in front of this movie there will be laughter.”
The first film had a showing at the Sonoma International Film Festival in 2012. Both have travelled to many festivals with great response. It is the tale, er tales, of an annual boat race. The catch? The boats are made of cardboard and duct tape. Do they sink or swim? You have to watch to find out. For now, listen to our interview with Sam Frazier.
